Steppers On TV
The PR Machine in Chicago has kicked it up a notch with the stage play "Step into the Light" as beloved radio legend Herb Kent, steppers Tykmyn, Yvette, Dre, and Lady Margaret appeared on WGN's morning show with reviewer Dean Richards.
The play will be at the 15,000 seat House of Hope at 752 E. 114th St. in Chicago on Valentines weekend. You can watch the video clip on WGN's website.

in the planning stages I don't know if this will take place in California or in Chicago since the producers haven't said yet. If it gets past the talking and showing clips stage I'll let you know more information. A couple of years ago a daytime talk show host had discussions with the same instructor and nothing came out of the conversation.
Video Talk
I'm getting ready to release "Sunshine dancing with the stars 2" so keep your eyes open for this one. Sunshine dances with Billy, Eric, Terrance, Ken, Tykmyn and a very talented 17 year old girl from Waukegan.
I got caught up on posting YouTube videos to SteppersUSA and Facebook this morning as I needed a little time from the daily brain drain. Three of the videos were posted by MSBU in Milwaukee and one was from a stepping competition in Dallas Texas.

The Chicago style stepping Facebook group is now over 3,300 members strong and we're getting ready to do some stuff so be sure to join us.
ISA News
Last night I got an email from The International Steppers Association. They have an official date for their official signing and charter. It's going to be on June 26, 2010 in Washington DC. Here's the email:
The International Steppers Association is fast approaching the signing of its inaugural bi-laws and constitution. The purpose of the ISA is to assist in the promotion and furtherance of the dance internationally. We will culminate our efforts in hosting an official recognition chartering ceremony on 26 June 2010 in Washington DC. We would like to invite your participation in this effort as you are the local Steppers, promoters, teachers that represent Steppin in the greater Metro complex. The day will consist of a business meeting in the morning followed by the recognition ceremony in the early afternoon or evening. If you would like to participate in any capacity, we would like to hear your ideas and thoughts. The signing and presentation will be documented in the local, regional and national media with a public news release and photo opportunities. We encourage your feedback and thoughts as we prepare for what is hoped to be a legacy trail of achievement for Steppers for some time to come.
If we have left someone out in the invitation, please forward accordingly to maximize acknowledgement.
We host a teleconference call each Sunday at 7pm. If you would like to call in this Sunday, 7 February 2010 at 7pm please do so. Or simply email us back for questions or comments.
