a couple of days we will be ringing in a new year, 2009 is just about
upon us, so forgive me if I start to refer to 2008 as last year because
my mind is already deep into 2009. Well, there is one exception, the new
years party at the Marmond Grand (see
plugger). I'll be there with camera's in tow. So will ABC channel
seven and Fox Channel 32. There are lots of steppers parties on New
Years Eve in Chicago, but this one stands to be the one to give Chicago
style stepping the exposure to the rest of the world it needs. I don't
know how many times I've said stepping needs as much exposure to the
non-stepping public as possible. This party fits the bill! So you have
the opportunity to party like it's 2009 and to be on television to show
the world how to party Chicago stepping style to boot! You can order

newly remodeled website. Weighing what's important enough to budget
time on for the website is difficult to say the least. Many sections of
SteppersUSA need updating in a never ending battle to keep you in touch
with the latest information about sets and parties, steppers classes and
locations, clubs, the latest videos from You Tube, steppers music and of
course gossip! For most people, this would be a full time job, but I do
this part-time. I need your help to keep the site up to date. If you
know of any incorrect or new information, just send me the full
information. People seem to have problems getting the full
information to SteppersUSA. What do I mean by full information? The best
way to get the complete lowdown on anything to be posted on the site is
to use the forms linked from the submission launch pad. Everything, all
of the blanks filled out will get the full information necessary to post
or to correct a posting on SteppersUSA. There's even an area where you
can add other comments like telling me the information is an update, or
more info about the submission. Please note this disclaimer under many
of the submission forms... We do these services for free.
The above submissions are basic informational submissions only. We will
not necessarily publish additional information. We are interested in the
information, but in order to publish additional information, please
consider
purchasing ad space for additional visibility. So if you're
browsing the site and you see something that needs updating, please send

This is an open message to ALL steppers. Please share it
with as many people as possible.
As many of you may already know I started a new web
site for the benefit of the greater steppers community. It's called
History of Stepping Project. I wish to encourage you to add your
knowledge to the timeline. If you know anything about stepping, please
share this with the public on this site. We are looking for all
information related to stepping from it's beginnings to the present. The
information literally includes everything from clubs and bars which held
steppers sets and parties to contests and the participants and results,
to when different steppers organizations and classes started, who the
instructors were and are; Musical bands, and artists, DJ's, radio and
television personalities, Movies, videos, and photos… literally
everything stepping.
Creating an accurate historic timeline will go a long
way toward helping the community take the next step in its logical
progression as it continues to grow nationwide and will become a
valuable resource for all in the future.
Your input, your knowledge and your effort have made the dance what it
is today. Don't you feel your place (and your organization's) in the
timeline is well deserved? I do!

The effort requires more than just posting the
