[9/24/2007] DJ Calvin. He is
one of the most
established
and well known DJ's in the Chicago Steppin' arena. If you collect
steppers CD's you probably have one of DJ Calvin's mixes on a few of
those CD's. You can usually find DJ Calvin at the 50 Yard Line on Saturday nights. In his own words, Calvin is a musician; "I love music, I love to play and the more I play, my understanding and appreciation grows. I think it makes me a better DJ." You can hear his love for music in his mixes. If you ever looked into the DJ booth when Calvin is spinning, you may do a double-take when you see the piles of CD's. It's his organizational way of doing things. If you ask him for a song, he knows exactly where that song is in which pile of CD's. That's amazing! |
